Summary:
Uses knowledge of corporate computing and telecommunications products and services to support the IT infrastructure. Develops, implements, maintains and tests operating or network management systems of moderate complexity. Coordinates rollouts, upgrades and office moves of moderate scope. Measures capacity and conducts traffic or workload analysis. Analyzes moderately complex technical and/or Level 2 system problems.
Responsibilities:
Develops, implements and maintains operating or network management systems of moderate complexity.
Performs engineering of moderate complexity in the LAN, WAN, VM, Websphere, window server.
Tests operating or network management systems of moderate complexity in compliance with testing standards.
Support multiple areas of infrastructure including Disaster Recovery testing.
Coordinates rollouts, upgrades and office moves of moderate scope including specific duties related to implementation and monitoring performance.
Measures network or computing capacity and conducts traffic or workload analysis.
Analyzes moderately complex technical and/or Level 2 system problems; design and implements effective solutions.
· Implements and maintains moderately complex operating systems or network management systems.
· Investigates and evaluates new hardware and/or software products and services.
Participates in the creation and implementation of new standards and procedures.
Contributes to the development of project plans; assigns and monitors tasks.
Consults on moderately complex technical issues.
Depicts moderately complex to complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences.
Requirements:
Specific requirement – VM, Websphere, Windows Server, DB2 database, Firewall, Routes and Switch knowledge.
Bachelors Degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
Generally a minimum of 5 years related experience.
General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
General knowledge of practices and procedures of operating systems and sub systems and / or telecommunication technologies.
Proficient in operating system utilities and system management tools or network management tools.
General knowledge of a business function(s) and general awareness of business operations.
Negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills.
Individual needs to be self-motivated and work under minimal supervision, including after hours and weekend support.
Must be a team player with the ability to think outside of the box and consider new ideas.

- Develop, troubleshoot and debug software code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems.
Develop and adhere to technical standards and procedures.
- Adhere to documented project standards and estimated development time requirements.
- Write documentation to include design documents and installation/instruction guides.
- Must be available to perform duties during off hours as needed.
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Minimum 4 years of programming experience.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal/written communication skills.
